Support Policy

Mobideo Technologies Ltd.

Effective as of December, 2021

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to provide a level of transparency concerning the support of OS platform and browser versions provided by Mobideo Platform. Since Mobideo reserves the right to modify this policy as it sees fit, while providing prior notice to its customers, it is recommended that prior to purchase, customers verify OS platform and browser support by the components of the Mobideo Platform.

Background

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide top-quality products to our customers, we have to ensure that the Mobideo Platform components are tested on the platforms being used by our customers.
That said, unless specified otherwise, Mobideo will discontinue support for operating system platform versions or browser versions that are no longer supported by their suppliers. Such platform and browser versions will be treated by Mobideo as being retired.

Mobideo Policy Regarding Retired Platform & Browser Versions

1. The Mobideo policy concerning retired platform or browser versions is based on the following guidelines:
Mobideo will stop the testing of its product on the retired platform or browser version, and will not recommend use of the retired platform or browser version by customers for deployments to new environments.

2. It will be possible for customers to use retired platform and browser versions on existing customer environments running previous versions of the Mobideo Platform, provided that the platform/browser supplier does not change any of the functionality.

3. Mobideo will not provide security updates, technical support, or hotfixes for retired platform and browser versions not supported by their suppliers.

Consequently, in order to continue to benefit from the security, performance and functionality enhancements offered by platform and browser suppliers in their latest releases, it is highly recommended to update all devices and environments to a supported operating system platform or browser version. Furthermore, since some browsers are better supported and more suitable for use on their provider’s operating system platform, this approach will enable Mobideo to better support the Mobideo Platform components on specific operating system platforms.

OS Platform Support Guidelines

The following are the Mobideo guidelines for each OS platform:

MS-Windows
To ensure quality on the MS-Windows platform, Mobideo will support the versions of Windows Desktop and Server editions during Microsoft’s “Mainstream” and “Extended” support phases. For the Mobideo App MS-Windows version, Mobideo will adhere to the Microsoft support lifecycle of Windows 10. Note that the addition of support for a newly-published MS-Windows version may require some time, until the specific version gains market acceptance and Mobideo issues its next release.
For more information, refer to Microsoft Lifecycle PolicyLifecycle FAQWindows Desktop Lifecycle and Windows Server Lifecycle.

iOS
Since Apple has no official, published end-of-life policy, Mobideo is committed to supporting the two most recent iOS releases available at the time of the release of the Mobideo App. At present, these are iOS versions 14 and 15. Note that the addition of support for a newly-published iOS version may require some time, until the specific version gains market acceptance and Mobideo issues its next release.

Android
With the release of Android version 10, Google has stopped support for Android version 7 or earlier. The significance of this is that Google and handset vendors will not be providing any further security patches or OS updates. Mobideo is committed to supporting the last OS versions supported by Google at the time of the release of the Mobideo App. At present, these are Android versions 10, 11 and 12. Note that the addition of support for a newly-published Android version may require some time, until the specific version is rolled out to the market, gains market acceptance and Mobideo issues its next release.

Note that Android is open-source, and therefore we cannot commit to supporting all devices that use the newest versions of the Android operating system. We are doing efforts to support the majority of the popular Android devices.
